1) Lucky’s Market Columbus: January through March

From now through March, if folks bring their own bag(s) in to shop at Lucky’s Market, they will receive a wooden dime to donate to Starfish Alliance. Lucky’s will double the total donation amount at the end of March.

2) Columbus Gives Back: February 11

Columbus Gives Back will spotlight Starfish Alliance on their website and social media throughout the month of February and collect donations at an event from 6:30-8:00PM on February 11.

3) Dirty Frank’s Hot Dog Palace: February 16

Dirty Frank’s is a part of Columbus Food League (CFL), a family of six local, independent restaurants. Every month, CFL restaurants each join with a Community Partner (CP) for a full day.

Our Community Partner Day will be February 16th. Invite your friends. If you go for lunch or dinner on this day, let them know you are with Starfish Alliance. On this day, Dirty Frank’s will donate $1 from every drink special sold and 10% of the day’s food sales to Starfish Alliance. Dirty Frank’s will also display a donation tin to highlight Starfish Alliance and collect money throughout the month of February.

4) Ohio Fostering Connections Advocacy Day: March 26

On March 26, 11:30-1:30, at the Ohio Statehouse Atrium, Ohio Fostering Connections will host an advocacy luncheon to educate legislators and the community about bipartisan efforts to extend supports for foster youth to age 21. Starfish Alliance is a supporter and we are involved with organizing the event. NFL/Buckeye Alum Roy Hall will MC. You must RSVP. Stay tuned for RSVP information.


5) Relā: April 16

Relā, formerly The Gathering Columbus, will host a large event on the evening of April 16. Proceeds will benefit Starfish Alliance and we’ll have the opportunity to raise awareness about the needs and opportunities for foster youth in Franklin County. (Rumor has it that Hot Chicken Takeover will be served!)
